Jana’s practice in the field of psychology with children, adolescents, and families spans 20 years, with a specialized understanding and identification of childhood issues and dynamics. Jana’s expertise surrounds the formal assessment and diagnostic process of complex childhood neurodevelopmental disorders.

Her passion for psychological assessment was nurtured through the School and Applied Child Psychology program at the University of Calgary, where her focus shifted to working with the pediatric population and their families exclusively. Since then, Jana has worked as a child psychologist within public, private, and non-profit sectors including the Calgary Board of Education, Foothills Academy, and Moroz Child Psychology, where she was the co-director and social skills facilitator for over 12 years. Specific interest surrounds the assessment of autism spectrum disorders, where Jana obtained specialized training through the Centre for Autism and the Developing Brain in New York. Jana’s expertise in psychoeducational assessment provides the foundation from which she provides treatment and counselling for children contending with ADHD, ASD and social communication disorders, learning disabilities, anxiety, OCD, Depression, Giftedness, and parenting consultation for their families.

Currently, Jana is the Director of Westside Child Psychology, and takes on both assessment and treatment clients within her practice. She also provides supervision and consultation to provisional psychologists.
